Audit Senior Manager – About The Role
You will take a senior role within the audit team, managing a varied portfolio and overseeing assignments from planning through to completion. The position combines hands-on audit work with client management, team development and wider involvement in the department.
You will work closely with Partners and senior colleagues, while having the autonomy to manage your own portfolio and support the development of the team. There is also scope to build on existing client relationships and contribute to improving processes and the way the department operates.
Key responsibilities:
Manage a varied portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors
Lead assignments from initial planning through to completion
Act as a senior point of contact for clients and build strong working relationships
Review audit files and maintain high technical standards
Manage assignment budgets, billing and deadlines
Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client relationships
Mentor and support junior members of the audit team
Provide technical guidance and contribute to team training
Help improve internal processes and audit procedures
Work with senior leadership on the continued development of the department
The successful Audit Senior Manager will have:
ACA or ACCA qualified
Strong UK audit experience within practice
Previous experience operating at Manager or Senior Manager level
Experience managing a portfolio of clients and leading audit assignments
Strong technical knowledge across audit and accounting
Commercial awareness and an interest in developing client relationships
Confident communication and relationship management skills
Experience mentoring and developing junior staff
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Full right to work in the UK
