How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality and Production teams, you will develop practical manufacturing solutions that improve safety, quality, delivery and cost performance while ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and regulatory requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Provide engineering support to production and overhaul operations, resolving technical and manufacturing issues.

    * Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) and capability development projects from concept through implementation.

    * Evaluate aircraft components and assemblies to develop repair, overhaul and manufacturing solutions.

    * Design and develop tooling, fixtures, test equipment and manufacturing aids to support operational requirements.

    * Support reverse engineering activities to expand repair and overhaul capabilities.

    * Produce and maintain engineering documentation including technical reports, drawings, specifications, process instructions and standard operating procedures.

    * Ensure manufacturing processes and documentation remain compliant with approved technical data, customer requirements and regulatory standards.

    * Conduct root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies such as FMEA, 8D and 5 Why.

    * Analyse manufacturing processes and implement improvements that enhance quality, efficiency and productivity.

    * Apply industrial engineering techniques to establish standard times and optimise workflows.

    * Collaborate with Operations, Quality and Engineering teams to successfully transfer new capabilities into production.

    * Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S and Operational Excellence initiatives throughout the business.

    Essential Experience & Skills

    * Experience in a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, Process Engineer or similar engineering role within aerospace, aviation, MRO or another regulated industry.

    * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, technical documentation and production methodologies.

    * Hands-on experience working with mechanical and electrical components or assemblies.

    * Experience designing tooling, fixtures, test equipment or manufacturing aids.

    * Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software, preferably Fusion 360.

    * Experience using engineering analysis tools and applying engineering principles to process and product improvement.

    * Proven experience conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.

    * Strong project management, organisational and stakeholder management skills.

    * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

    * Demonstrated ability and willingness to utilise AI tools responsibly to improve productivity, decision-making, quality and cost efficiency.

    Desirable Qualifications & Experience

    * Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.

    * Experience within an aircraft component repair and overhaul environment.

    * Knowledge of aerospace regulatory and quality standards.

    * Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement experience.

    Why Join AEM?

AEM has been a leading independent aircraft component repair and overhaul specialist for more than 60 years and is part of the global AMETEK Aerospace & Defense Division. This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging aerospace products, contribute to business growth through capability development and NPI projects, and build your career within a collaborative, innovation-driven engineering environment committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
