How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are currently recruiting an experienced Project Manager for a major £12.5m project in Worthing.

    The successful candidate will have a strong background in reinforced concrete (RC) frames and groundworks, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects or substantial packages of a similar scale and complexity.

    This is a key delivery position requiring someone capable of taking ownership of the project, coordinating site operations and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme, quality and commercial requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

    Manage the day-to-day delivery of the RC frame and groundworks package.

    *

    Take overall responsibility for site operations, programme and project delivery.

    *

    Manage site teams, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers.

    *

    Coordinate labour, plant, materials and resources to maintain programme.

    *

    Work closely with the client, design team and other project stakeholders.

    *

    Monitor progress against programme and identify potential delays or delivery risks.

    *

    Chair and attend progress, coordination and site meetings.

    *

    Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.

    *

    Maintain high standards of health & safety across the project.

    *

    Oversee temporary works, sequencing and coordination of concrete and groundworks activities.

    *

    Manage technical queries and ensure issues are resolved promptly.

    *

    Produce progress reports and provide regular updates to senior management.

    *

    Drive the project through to successful completion and handover.

    Candidate Requirements

    *

    Strong RC frame and groundworks experience – essential.

    *

    Proven track record delivering projects/packages in the region of £10m–£15m+.

    *

    Previous experience working for an RC frame, groundworks or specialist concrete contractor.

    *

    Strong understanding of reinforced concrete construction, groundworks and associated temporary works.

    *

    Experience managing site teams and subcontractors on technically demanding projects.

    *

    Excellent programme management and organisational skills.

    *

    Strong commercial awareness.

    *

    Confident client-facing communication skills.

    *

    Proactive approach to problem solving and project delivery.

    *

    Relevant construction management qualifications and current site certification.

    The Project

    The Worthing scheme has a value of approximately £12.5m, so we are looking for an experienced Project Manager who has previously operated successfully on projects of a comparable size.

    This position would suit an established RC Frame & Groundworks Project Manager who is comfortable taking ownership of a substantial project and driving delivery from site
