How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Founding Account Executive - SaaS sales

    Manchester | Hybrid | £50,000–£55,000 Basic + £80,000 OTE, Uncapped

    The Opportunity

We’re working with an ambitious, Manchester-based software start-up that is building an innovative market intelligence platform designed to help businesses make better, faster and more informed commercial decisions.

The business is backed by strong investment and is being built by founders with a proven track record — having previously built and exited a business at a £100m valuation.

They are now looking to hire a Founding Account Executive to join the commercial team at a genuinely exciting stage of growth.

This is not a role where you inherit a book of business and manage inbound leads. You’ll be one of the first sales hires and will have genuine ownership of the full sales cycle — from identifying and prospecting into target accounts, through discovery and demos, all the way through to negotiation and closing.

You’ll work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, helping shape the sales process, messaging, target market and go-to-market strategy as the company scales.

    What You'll Be Doing

    *

Own the full B2B SaaS sales cycle, from prospecting through to close.

    *

Identify, research and engage prospective customers across target markets.

    *

Build and manage your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking and targeted account development.

    *

Run discovery calls to understand prospects' commercial challenges and identify opportunities.

    *

Deliver compelling product demonstrations to senior stakeholders.

    *

Manage multiple opportunities through a structured sales process.

    *

Build relationships with decision-makers and key influencers.

    *

Lead commercial conversations, negotiations and contract discussions through to close.

    *

Work directly alongside the Chief Revenue Officer to develop and refine the sales strategy.

    *

Feed market intelligence and customer feedback back into the wider business.

    *

Help develop the company's sales playbook, processes and messaging as the team grows.

    *

Become an early commercial leader within the organisation, with significant scope to progress as the business scales.

    What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is commercially driven, ambitious and comfortable operating in an early-stage environment.

    You'll will have:

    *

3+ years' B2B sales experience, ideally selling SaaS/software.

    *

A proven track record of managing a full sales cycle.

    *

Experience generating your own pipeline through outbound prospecting.

    *

Experience selling to senior decision-makers and navigating complex sales processes.

    *

Strong discovery, presentation, negotiation and closing skills.

    *

A genuine interest in technology and SaaS.

    *

A self-starting mentality — you're comfortable creating opportunities rather than waiting for them.

    *

The ambition to be part of building something from an early stage.

    *

Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to build, rather than simply operate within an established sales machine.

    Why Join?

This is an opportunity to join a well-funded start-up at a pivotal stage of its growth.

    You'll have:

    *

The opportunity to become the Founding Account Executive.

    *

Direct exposure to and mentorship from an experienced Chief Revenue Officer.

    *

The chance to help shape the company's sales strategy and go-to-market motion.

    *

    Significant autonomy and ownership.

    *

A product operating in the growing market intelligence space.

    *

Backing from founders who have previously built and exited a business at a £100m valuation.

    *

A clear opportunity to grow with the company as the commercial team expands.

    *

A genuinely entrepreneurial environment where your contribution will have a visible impact.

    Package

    £50,000–£55,000 basic salary

    £80,000 OTE in Year 1

    Uncapped earning potential
