How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Bennett & Game are representing a privately owned quantity surveying and project management consultancy who are seeking a Construction Project Manager to join their growing team.

    The business provides project management, quantity surveying, project monitoring and wider construction consultancy services across the UK. Their project portfolio covers residential, commercial, defence, industrial, marine and other specialist sectors, with typical projects around the £5m mark and opportunities to become involved with larger schemes as the business continues to grow.

    This is a great opportunity for a Project Manager who wants genuine ownership and variety rather than being one small part of a much larger consultancy team. You will work closely with clients, contractors and consultant teams, managing projects through the full lifecycle and developing long-term client relationships.     Lead and manage construction projects from inception through to completion
    Act as a key point of contact for clients, contractors, consultants and wider project stakeholders
    Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams and manage project delivery against agreed programmes and budgets
    Prepare and manage project programmes, reports, meeting documentation and key project deliverables
    Undertake Contract Administrator and Employer's Agent duties under JCT contracts
    Monitor contractor performance and project progress, providing clear updates to clients and stakeholders
    Support feasibility studies, procurement, design development and construction delivery
    Develop and maintain strong, trusted client relationships and contribute to repeat business opportunities
    Provide commercially focused project management support, with the opportunity to assist with Quantity Surveying duties where requiredConstruction Project Manager Position Requirements

    Previous construction project management experience gained within a consultancy or client-side environment is essential
    Experience managing projects through the full project lifecycle
    Strong client-facing experience with the ability to manage relationships confidently
    Experience of Contract Administration and/or Employer's Agent duties under JCT contracts would be advantageous
    Good understanding of construction programmes, procurement and project delivery
    Commercially focused with an understanding of cost control and wider Quantity Surveying principles
    Strong communication, organisational and report-writing skills
    Microsoft Project experience
    RICS, APM or another relevant professional qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
    Ambitious, proactive and self-motivated with a personable approach and the ability to work effectively within a growing consultancy
