How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Liaise directly with customers, consultants, site teams and internal departments

    *

Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial performance

    *

Manage project variations and changes to scope

    *

Identify potential delays, technical issues and commercial risks at an early stage

    *

Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed programmes and client expectations

    *

Attend site and project meetings as required

    *

Ensure all relevant health & safety requirements are followed

    *

Produce project updates and progress reports for senior management

    *

Support procurement and ensure equipment and materials are ordered in line with programme requirements

    *

Manage multiple projects at different stages where required

    The Candidate

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a background in electrical engineering, HV/LV installations, power distribution, switchgear, transformers or a closely related sector.

    You should have:

    *

Previous experience managing electrical engineering or installation projects

    *

Strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment

    *

Experience working with switchgear and/or transformers would be highly advantageous

    *

Strong project planning and organisational skills

    *

Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and site teams

    *

Good commercial awareness and experience dealing with variations and project costs

    *

Ability to read and understand technical and engineering drawings

    *

    Strong customer-facing and communication skills

    *

Ability to manage projects independently and make decisions when required

    *

    Good IT and reporting skills

    *
