How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Plumber – Renewable Energy

    Location: Kent, London & South East
    Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 DOE + Benefits
    Hours: Monday-Friday
    Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

    Our client is an established family-run business with more than 20 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, specialising in renewable heating, hot water and associated low-carbon technologies.

    They're looking for skilled plumbers who take pride in delivering quality workmanship, enjoy fault-finding and problem-solving, and are keen to develop their technical expertise within a growing industry.

    Renewable energy experience is an advantage, but it isn't essential for the right candidate, with full training available.

    What You'll Be Doing

    *

    Install, service and repair renewable heating and hot water systems.

    *

    Work with technologies including Air Source Heat Pumps, Ground Source Heat Pumps, Exhaust Air Heat Pumps and associated heating systems.

    *

    Install, maintain and repair HIUs, Unvented Cylinders, Solar Hot Water and Underfloor Heating systems.

    *

    Diagnose faults and carry out planned and reactive maintenance.

    *

    Complete system replacements, upgrades and associated plumbing works.

    *

    Identify additional works and produce clear technical reports where further repairs or improvements are required.

    *

    Work safely across occupied and unoccupied domestic, commercial and educational properties.

    *

    Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant regulations, health and safety requirements and industry standards.

    *

    Maintain accurate job records and documentation.

    What We're Looking For

    *

    NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating and G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification.

    *

    Strong practical and diagnostic plumbing and heating skills.

    *

    Previous experience with renewable or low-carbon heating technologies would be advantageous.

    *

    Experience with Air Source Heat Pumps or other renewable heating systems is desirable.

    *

    ACS Gas Safe qualifications would be beneficial.

    *

    Good knowledge of Water Regulations.

    *

    Energy Efficiency training would be advantageous.

    *

    Full UK Driving Licence.

    *

    Clean DBS or happy to undergo a check
