How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Learning Support Assistant - Reading

    Pay: £90.00 - £105.00/day
    Start Date: ASAP

    Are you passionate about helping children and young people reach their potential? Do you have experience supporting pupils or a strong interest in developing a career within education?

    A friendly and inclusive specialist school in Reading is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The school provides a structured environment where pupils receive personalised support to help them access learning and develop their independence.

    As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with Teachers and other members of the support team to provide tailored assistance throughout the school day. You will support pupils with their academic development while also helping them build confidence, communication skills and positive relationships.

    This Learning Support Assistant role will involve:

    Supporting pupils with their learning on a 1:1 and small group basis
    Assisting pupils with classroom tasks and activities
    Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
    Encouraging engagement, confidence and independence
    Helping pupils overcome individual barriers to learning
    Supporting communication and social development
    Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
    Working alongside Teachers and experienced support staff

    Reading location with excellent public transport linksThe school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is caring, adaptable and committed to helping pupils achieve their potential.
