How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrician – Renewable Energy

    Location: Kent, London & South East
    Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 DOE + Benefits
    Hours: Monday-Friday
    Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

    Our client is a family run company with over 20 years of experience in renewable sector and specialises in Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems, EV Charging.

    They're looking for skilled electricians who take pride in delivering quality workmanship, enjoy fault-finding and problem-solving, and are keen to develop their technical expertise within a growing industry.

    Renewable energy experience is an advantage, but it isn't essential for the right candidate, with full training available.

    What You'll Be Doing

    *

    Carry out electrical installation, planned maintenance and reactive repair work across renewable energy systems and associated electrical equipment.

    *

    Diagnose electrical faults and complete effective repairs across a range of customer installations.

    *

    Work on systems including Solar PV, EV Charging, Air Source Heat Pumps and other renewable technologies.

    *

    Undertake replacement works and system component changeovers where required.

    *

    Complete electrical testing, inspections and associated certification in accordance with current regulations.

    *

    Assess installations where additional works are required and provide clear technical reports to support follow-on quotations.

    *

    Work safely within occupied and unoccupied residential, commercial and educational properties.

    *

    Maintain accurate job records, inspection documentation, test certificates and reports.

    *

    Deliver a professional and courteous service when working with customers, tenants and clients.

    What We're Looking For

    *

    NVQ Level 3, AM2, 2391 and 18th edition

    *

    Previous experience in renewable or low-carbon technologies would be beneficial.

    *

    Solar PV and/or EV Charging qualifications are advantageous, although training can be provided.

    *

    Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.

    *

    Full UK Driving Licence.

    *

    Clean DBS or happy to undergo a check
