How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    External Site Manager – Nine Elms

    Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 + Package
    Location: Nine Elms, London
    Job Type: Permanent

    O’Neill & Brennan are currently working with a leading main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced External Site Manager to join their team on a major project in Nine Elms, South West London.

    This is an exciting opportunity to become part of one of London’s most iconic regeneration projects, delivering a large-scale development within one of the capital’s most significant regeneration areas.

    The Role

    As External Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of external works, ensuring activities are completed safely, to a high standard and in line with the project programme.

    You will work closely with the Project Manager, Senior Site Management team, subcontractors and specialist trades to ensure the successful delivery of the external envelope and associated works.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage and coordinate all external works across the development.
    Oversee subcontractors and specialist external trades on site.
    Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
    Coordinate logistics, sequencing and interfaces between different trades.
    Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality and environmental compliance.
    Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the Senior Project Team.
    Identify and resolve issues on site efficiently.
    Liaise with design teams, consultants and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery.
    Ensure all works are completed to the required quality and programme standards.
    Maintain a strong focus on housekeeping, site standards and safe working practices.

    About You

    The successful candidate will have:

    Proven experience as a Site Manager / External Site Manager on large-scale construction projects.
    Strong experience managing external works, façade, envelope or finishing packages.
    Experience working for a reputable main contractor.
    Strong knowledge of construction processes, health & safety and quality requirements.
    Excellent subcontractor management and communication skills.
    Ability to manage multiple external workstreams and maintain programme.
    Relevant CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid qualifications.
