How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    PA to Principal - Immediate Start

    Location: Haringey, North London
    Start Date: Immediate

    Are you an experienced Personal Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior leadership within a successful and ambitious school?

    A highly regarded all-through school in Haringey is looking for an organised, professional and proactive PA to the Principal to join their leadership team immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PA, ideally with previous experience within education, to play a key role in supporting the Principal and the wider senior leadership team.

    About the Role

    As PA to the Principal, you will provide high-level administrative and organisational support to the Principal, helping to ensure that the senior leadership function operates efficiently and effectively.

    This is a varied role that will require excellent organisation, communication and prioritisation skills, as well as the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with complete discretion.

    Your responsibilities may include:

    Managing the Principal's diary, appointments and schedule.
    Coordinating meetings and ensuring the Principal is fully prepared.
    Preparing agendas, papers and other documentation for meetings.
    Taking accurate minutes and following up on actions where required.
    Acting as an important point of contact between the Principal, staff, parents, external organisations and other stakeholders.
    Drafting and preparing correspondence on behalf of the Principal.
    Handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
    Supporting the Principal with key school events, meetings and projects.
    Coordinating communications and ensuring deadlines are met.
    Liaising with members of the senior leadership team and wider staff.
    Providing wider administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the Principal's office.The Ideal Candidate

    The successful candidate must have previous experience working as a PA, with experience within a school or education setting highly desirable.

    You will be:

    Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
    Confident working with senior leadership.
    Professional, approachable and an excellent communicator.
    Able to manage a busy workload and competing priorities.
    Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information.
    Proactive and able to anticipate what is required.
    Confident producing professional correspondence and documentation.
    Experienced in managing diaries, meetings and deadlines.
    Calm and composed when working in a busy environment.
    Someone who takes pride in providing a high level of support.
    Experienced within education would be highly advantageous.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PA to join a successful, ambitious and high-performing school and work directly alongside senior leadership.
