How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Scunthorpe
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

    About the Role

    We are currently recruiting for a Production Administrator to support the efficient running of the production department.

    This is a varied administrative role within a busy manufacturing environment, involving production planning, order processing, incoming load coordination and providing essential administrative support across Production, Sales, Logistics and Warehouse operations.

    The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring production schedules run smoothly, information is accurate and communication between departments remains effective.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Prepare, maintain and update production plans and schedules in line with customer demand, available capacity and delivery requirements.

    * Monitor production progress, identify potential delays and communicate priorities or changes to relevant teams.

    * Liaise with Production, Sales, Transport and Warehouse colleagues to ensure the smooth flow of operations.

    * Process and manage intergroup sales orders, ensuring pricing, quantities, delivery dates and documentation are accurate.

    * Release production orders within the relevant systems, ensuring they align with agreed schedules and material availability.

    * Check order information before release and resolve any discrepancies with the relevant departments.

    * Coordinate incoming loads, recording expected deliveries and communicating details to Warehouse and Production teams.

    * Maintain accurate records relating to incoming materials, production orders, stock movements and delivery documentation.

    * Carry out production programming, entering and maintaining job, machine and process instructions within company systems.

    * Ensure production programmes and data reflect current specifications, priorities and completion dates.

    * Produce and distribute production paperwork, reports, schedules, labels and supporting documentation.

    * Undertake general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, document control, email correspondence and responding to internal queries.

    Skills & Experience

    The ideal candidate will have:

    * Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.

    * Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

    * Confident written and verbal communication skills.

    * The ability to liaise effectively with multiple departments and manage changing priorities.

    * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.

    * The ability to learn new production planning and programming systems.

    Previous experience within production administration, manufacturing, planning or a similar administrative role would be advantageous.
