How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Panel Beater / Panel Technician - MET Skills
    Location: Hull
    Salary: £35,000-£40,000, depending on experience Plus Bonus
    Hours: 40 hours per week, plus overtime

    The Role
    As a Panel Beater with MET skills, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality vehicle body repairs, including panel replacement, structural repairs and mechanical, electrical and trim stripping and refitting.
    Your responsibilities will include:
    ·Carrying out panel repairs on a variety of vehicles, from minor damage to major accident repairs.
    ·Removing, repairing and replacing damaged body panels.
    ·Undertaking MET work, including stripping and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components.
    ·Carrying out welding, bonding and structural repairs where required.
    ·Ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and quality standards.
    ·Working closely with Paint Technicians and other workshop colleagues to maintain an efficient repair process.
    ·Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
    ·Completing repairs within agreed timescales while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
     
    About You
    ·Proven experience as a Panel Beater or Panel Technician within an accident repair centre.
    ·Strong MET skills, including stripping and refitting vehicle components.
    ·Experience carrying out structural and cosmetic vehicle body repairs.
    ·Knowledge of modern vehicle repair techniques and equipment.
    ·High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
    ·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    ·A full UK driving licence.
