How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mental Health Assistant - Wokingham

    Pay: £90.00 - £105.00/day
    Start Date: ASAP

    Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with their emotional and mental wellbeing? Do you have a calm, patient and understanding approach and want to gain further experience within an SEN setting?

    A welcoming and inclusive specialist school in Wokingham is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The school supports pupils with a variety of additional needs and is committed to creating an environment where every pupil feels safe, valued and able to learn.

    The successful Mental Health Assistant will work closely with pupils who may need additional support with emotional regulation, behaviour, confidence and engagement. You will help pupils overcome barriers to learning while developing positive relationships and encouraging greater independence.

    The Mental Health Assistant role will include:

    Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
    Helping pupils manage emotions and regulate their behaviour
    Supporting pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD and associated learning needs
    Encouraging positive communication and social interaction
    Providing reassurance and consistent support throughout the school day
    Helping pupils engage with lessons and activities
    Developing positive and trusting relationships with pupils
    Working alongside Teachers and experienced SEN support staff
    ASAP start
    Wokingham location with accessible transport linksThe school is seeking a Mental Health Assistant who is compassionate, reliable and able to remain calm when supporting pupils who may present with emotional or behavioural challenges. Previous experience working with children, young people, SEN or mental health would be beneficial.
