How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Support Worker

    Salary: up to £14.21 per hour

    Location: Hull

    Hours: Multiple shifts and hours available

    Role Overview:

    * To provide support to our service users appropriate to their individuals needs ensuring that each service user leads a full and valued life.

    * To contribute to providing a homely environment, whereby the service user has maximum involvement in their own activities and decision making.

    * To enable service users to participate in and contribute to the local community

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Brainkind has employed new management to support Victoria House.

    * Boundaried, dignified and able to keep own counsel.

    * Have genuine empathy for our residents, with the positivity, patience, and resilience to support them through the challenging times of their rehabilitation.

    * Enjoy teamwork and take pride in getting a job done well alongside your colleagues.

    * Have excellent face to face communication skills and a good standard of literacy.

    * Have good time management skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload.

    * Have experience in moving and handling including hoists.

    * Enjoys providing people with good quality care

    * Understands the importance of person centred night checks, security and providing basic night care support such as repositioning.
