How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Interim CDM/PD Assurance Consultant – 6 month Contract - £(Apply online only)/day (Outside IR35) – Homebased / North-East – ID: 11917

    With an excellent pipeline of secured work across the North-East, an established construction consultancy is looking to appoint an Interim CDM/PD Assurance Consultant to join its team on an initial 6-month contract and is to pay a daily rate of £(Apply online only)/day (Outside IR35)

    This is a client facing role offering genuine ownership of projects, homebased hybrid flexibility within a structured consultancy environment. Projects are focused on designated highways-based projects working with highly established clientele. This is a homebased position with occasional requirement for site visits within the North-East.

    The Role (not exhaustive)

    Assess Construction Phase Plan and key pre-start arrangements against project risks and CDM requirements.
    Attend design-risk/design-review meetings
    Site audits/inspections to verify implementation of CDM responsibilities, significant-risk controls, highway/public interfaces and Principal Contractor compliance
    Review H&S File preparation, handover arrangements and outstanding CDM information/actions.
    Consolidate project assurance positions, programme themes, risk-rated findings, overdue/high-risk actions
    Review contractor competence/capability, supply-chain CDM compliance and appointment records
    Providing overall CDM / Principal Designer Assurance to the client
    About You

    Experience operating as a Principal Designer and CDM Advisor
    Strong knowledge of CDM 2015
    A level 3 H&S qualification minimum
    Have worked on highways / civils projects
    Be a member of APS (Association of Project Safety) highly desirable
    Comfortable managing projects independently
    Confident communicator with clients and design teams
    Be available at short notice
