How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Its products are supplied into the oil, gas, petrochemical and hydrogen industries, where exceptional quality, reliability and on-time delivery are essential.

    The Role:

You will have full responsibility for achieving targeted sales across the North West of England.

You will be responsible for developing existing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and negotiating sales across the oil, gas, petrochemical and hydrogen sectors.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    * Taking full responsibility for sales performance across the North West of England.

    * Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

    * Identifying and converting new business opportunities within the oil, gas, petrochemical and hydrogen industries.

    * Negotiating commercial agreements and taking ownership of sales results within your territory.

    * Providing technically informed solutions based on customer requirements.

    * Working closely with internal engineering, manufacturing and commercial teams.

    * Representing the business professionally within a highly competitive and technically demanding market.

    The Candidate:

    * A mechanical engineering qualification or strong equivalent engineering background.

    * Proven experience in technical sales, area sales or business development.

    * Experience selling high-quality engineered products into the oil, gas, petrochemical or hydrogen sectors.

    * A strong technical understanding and the ability to communicate effectively with engineering and commercial stakeholders.

    * Excellent negotiation and commercial skills.

    * A proven track record of developing customer relationships and delivering sales results.

    * A proactive, self-starting approach with the confidence to identify and pursue opportunities.

    * The drive and determination to lead from the front and take ownership of results
