An excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic
to join a busy commercial vehicle operation where you'll be responsible for keeping a fleet of HGVs maintained, safe and on the road.
This is a genuinely hands-on role for a technician who enjoys variety and wants a solid Monday-to-Friday position with plenty of overtime opportunities.
 
What you’ll be doing as HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic
As an HGV Technician, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on HGVs.
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
Completing inspections, repairs and component replacements.
Working on engines, transmissions, braking systems and running gear.
Carrying out fault diagnosis using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
Ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high standard and are safe and roadworthy.
Completing maintenance paperwork and job records accurately. 
What you’ll need as HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic

Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
Experience working on HGVs or other heavy commercial vehicles.
A recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
A good understanding of vehicle safety and maintenance standards.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A full UK driving licence.
