How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Role Purpose:

    The Compliance Administrator Apprentice will support the Compliance Team in ensuring that all candidates, workers, and client records meet legal, regulatory, and company compliance requirements. The role will involve maintaining accurate records, conducting compliance checks, supporting audits, and helping to ensure workers are fully compliant before placement.

    The successful candidate will develop an understanding of recruitment legislation, right-to-work verification, safeguarding requirements, data protection, and industry-specific compliance standards.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Compliance Administration

    * Assist with the onboarding and compliance verification of candidates.

    * Review and process candidate documentation, ensuring records are complete and accurate.

    * Verify right-to-work documentation and identity checks in line with legislation.

    * Support the completion of referencing and qualification verification processes.

    * Maintain and update candidate records within the company's recruitment database.

    * Ensure all compliance documents are obtained prior to candidate placement.

    Record Management

    * Organise and maintain electronic personnel files.

    * Monitor the status of expiring documents and certifications.

    * Ensure confidential information is handled securely and in accordance with GDPR requirements.

    * Perform regular data quality checks to maintain accurate records.

    Audit and Reporting Support

    * Assist with internal compliance audits.

    * Produce compliance reports and trackers as required.

    * Identify missing documentation and follow up with candidates and consultants.

    Candidate and Client Support

    * Communicate with candidates to obtain required compliance documentation.

    * Provide administrative support to recruitment consultants regarding compliance requirements.

    * Respond professionally to compliance-related enquiries.

    * Build positive relationships with candidates, clients, and internal stakeholders.

    General Administration

    * Support the wider business with administrative tasks as required.

    * Provide support to the payroll function to meet weekly timeframes.

    * Attend training sessions and complete apprenticeship coursework.

    * Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the compliance function.

    * Maintain awareness of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.

    Knowledge and Experience required:

    Essential:

    * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

    * Strong organisational and time-management skills.

    * Good written and verbal communication skills.

    * Ability to work methodically and follow processes.

    * Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

    Desirable:

    * Basic administrative experience gained through education, work experience, voluntary work, or part-time employment.

    * Experience using computer systems and databases.

    Qualifications:

    * GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or willingness to achieve as part of the apprenticeship).

    Salary and Remuneration:

    National Apprenticeship Wage.
