How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Production Technician - High Peak

    £14.79 per hour during training → £16.44 per hour once trained

    Approx. £34,600 per year once trained, with potential to earn up to £35,300 depending on shift hours
    4 on, 4 off x 7 then 18-day break

    High Peak

    We're currently recruiting for a Production Technician to join a busy manufacturing site in the High Peak area.

    This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in a heavy industrial, industrial, manufacturing or production environment who has experience working machinery and wants the opportunity to develop their skills.

    The Role

    Operating and monitoring production machinery
    Carrying out routine checks, cleaning and basic maintenance
    Monitoring production output and downtime
    Troubleshooting day-to-day issues
    Operating FLT, Clamp Truck, Skid Steer and MEWP equipment - training can be provided
    Completing daily equipment checks
    Working safely and following site procedures
    Supporting the smooth and efficient running of the operation

    What We're Looking For

    Previous experience operating heavy industrial, industrial or manufacturing machinery
    Must have operated on machinery
    Practical, hands-on approach
    Good problem-solving skills
    Strong communication skills
    Good IT skills
    FLT, plant or MEWP experience is advantageous
    Full training will be provided on site equipment
    Reliable and comfortable working the shift pattern

    What's On Offer?

    £14.79 per hour during training
    Training is completed on days, working 39 hours per week, and can last anywhere from approximately 1-6 months depending on experience.

    £16.44 per hour once fully trained
    This works out at approximately £34,600 per year based on average shift hours, with earnings of up to approximately £35,300 on the higher annual shift hours.

    4 on, 4 off x 7 followed by an 18-day break
