How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Psychology Graduate - SEN Teaching Assistant
    Location: Rochdale
    Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
    Contract: Long-term opportunities
    Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

    Are you a recent Psychology graduate with previous experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Are you looking to take the next step in your career within a specialist SEN school?

    Aspire People are currently recruiting Psychology graduates to work as SEN Teaching Assistants across schools in Rochdale, with a range of exciting long-term opportunities available.

    We are particularly interested in graduates who have gained SEN experience through university placements, volunteering, internships or previous employment. Your experience could be within either a primary or secondary school setting.

    The ideal candidate will have:
    * A UK degree in Psychology, Educational Psychology or a related subject
    * Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
    * Experience gained through placements, employment, volunteering or internships
    * A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
    * The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
    * A professional and reliable approach to work
    * A DBS on the Update Service
    * References covering the last 2 years
