Tutor - The Role:
We are looking for enthusiastic, nurturing and engaging KS3/4 Maths, English and Science tutors to join our busy team and support students on a 1:1 basis around Cambridge and the surrounding areas. You will prepare and deliver tailored sessions that meet each student's academic needs and goals, working with students referred through Cambridge Council and local schools.
We have specific needs for in-person KS3/4 English, ESOL and Maths tutors who can travel to students based in Cambourne (CB23), and Northstowe (CB24), for this academic year 2026/27.
Tutor - Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver engaging, curriculum-relevant KS3 and GCSE Maths, English and Science sessions
- Help students reengage with learning through respect, understanding and patience
- Assess students' progress regularly and adapt your approach
- Keep accurate, timely records of each session
Tutor - You:
- Right to Work Self Employed in the UK
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification
- Experience in tutoring, teaching or special education
- Knowledge of the UK Curriculum and GCSE examination process
- Excellent communication skills and experience managing disengagement
- Understanding of safeguarding, with willingness to complete annual Safeguarding and
Prevent training
- Available during the school day and after school - Able to travel to students within 20 miles of Cambridge
- Desirable: SEN experience and a full UK driving licence
