How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Opportunity

    Copello are working with a technology-focused engineering business that is looking for a hands-on Engineering Technician to support the development, assembly and testing of electronic and RF products.

    This is a varied, practical role working alongside engineers across different disciplines, supporting prototype development, laboratory testing and fault-finding. It would suit someone with an electronics or engineering background who enjoys practical problem-solving and is keen to develop their technical skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Support the assembly, development and testing of electronic and RF equipment.

    * Set up and operate laboratory test and measurement equipment.

    * Assist with prototype build, soldering, PCB rework and fault-finding.

    * Manufacture cables, wiring harnesses and mechanical assemblies.

    * Support the development of test setups, fixtures and prototype components.

    * Run basic test scripts and assist with automated testing and data collection.

    * Record test results and maintain laboratory equipment, tools and components.

    * Work closely with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and support product development.

    About You

    * Experience in electronics, RF, manufacturing or a similar engineering environment.

    * Familiarity with electronic test equipment and practical assembly or soldering.

    * Ability to follow technical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.

    * Basic scripting or test automation experience would be beneficial.

    * Experience with cable assembly, PCB rework, 3D printing or CNC equipment would be advantageous.

    * A practical, methodical approach with good attention to detail.

    * A willingness to learn and work across different engineering disciplines.
