How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are looking for a talented Graduate Hardware / Embedded Engineer to join an innovative engineering team working on the design and development of advanced electronic products.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with a strong academic background in Electronics or a related discipline who is keen to develop their career across both hardware and embedded software.

    You will work alongside experienced electronic and mechanical engineers, gaining hands-on experience across the full development process and contributing to technically challenging projects.

    The Role

    * Design and develop electronic hardware for new products.

    * Develop embedded software to run on electronic hardware.

    * Work closely with electronic and mechanical engineers throughout the development process.

    * Support the development, testing and refinement of new products.

    * Assist with troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.

    * Contribute to the design and development of innovative products from concept through to completion.

    * Develop your knowledge across both hardware and embedded software.

    * Maintain a strong focus on quality, reliability and performance.

    * Work as part of a collaborative engineering team and contribute ideas for new and improved designs.

    Skills & Experience

    Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline. (Minimum 2:1)

    Strong academic background with a genuine interest in electronics and embedded systems.

    Some knowledge of C programming would be advantageous.

    Knowledge or interest in robotics would be beneficial.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Passionate about high-quality engineering and design.

    A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.

    Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

    Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
