How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your new company

    A well-established and growing organisation is seeking an Accounts Clerk to join its finance team on a part-time basis (3 days per week).     Your new role

    As Accounts Clerk, you will play a key role within the finance function, with a primary focus on credit control. Approximately 70% of your time will be dedicated to managing debtor ledgers, chasing outstanding payments, reconciling customer accounts, allocating payments and handling customer queries. The remaining 30% of the role will involve purchase ledger duties, invoice processing, cashbook administration and financial reconciliations. You'll also assist with cash flow reporting and support the wider finance team as required. Experience with Sage 200 or QuickBooks would be beneficial, although full training can be provided.

    What you'll need to succeed

    To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a credit control position and be confident managing customer accounts and collections processes. Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues are essential. Experience of purchase ledger and invoice processing would be advantageous. Knowledge of Sage 200 or QuickBooks is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
