Working as part of a multidisciplinary site team, you will complete planned and reactive electrical work safely, efficiently and to the required technical standard. This is a hands-on, site-based position involving outdoor work, regular UK travel and overnight stays.
Duties and Responsibilities
Install, terminate, test and commission electrical equipment, control panels, motors, pumps, instrumentation and associated cabling.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, fault finding and reactive repairs on industrial electrical systems.
Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs or component replacements to minimise plant downtime.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
Complete electrical isolation, lock-off and safe reinstatement in accordance with approved procedures.
Inspect and test installations, recording results accurately and reporting defects or non-compliance.
Work safely around operational process equipment, wastewater assets and confined-space activities.
Follow approved RAMS, permits to work, site rules and company health, safety and environmental procedures.
Liaise professionally with supervisors, clients, site representatives and other trades to coordinate work.
Maintain tools, test equipment and PPE, ensuring inspection and calibration requirements are met.
Complete site documentation, including service reports, test records, timesheets and handover information.
Support mechanical colleagues and assist with commissioning or project activities where required.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience as an industrial electrician in water treatment, wastewater, utilities, manufacturing or a similar process environment.
Recognised electrical apprenticeship and Level 3 electrical qualification, or equivalent.
Strong fault-finding skills across motors, control panels, pumps, drives, sensors and industrial electrical systems.
Ability to read electrical drawings and work safely with low-voltage equipment and control systems.
Good understanding of electrical safety, isolation procedures, RAMS and permit-to-work systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Good communication, organisation and record-keeping skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel throughout the UK and work away from home when required.

Role Details
