How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The Associate Architect will take responsibility for design quality, project delivery, resource planning and client relationships, while progressively becoming more involved in the management and development of the London architectural team.

Projects typically range from £300k to £40m, giving the Associate Architect exposure to schemes of varying scale and complexity.

    Key responsibilities will include:

Leading architectural projects through all RIBA stages

Managing and mentoring members of the architectural team

Preparing feasibility studies, design concepts and planning applications

Producing and reviewing technical information using Revit

Managing project resources, fees, forecasting and profitability

Attending client, design and site meetings

Supporting bids, fee proposals and tender submissions

Developing existing client relationships and generating new opportunities

Contributing to the continued growth of the London office

    The Associate Architect

The successful Associate Architect will ideally have:

RIBA Part III qualification / ARB registration

    Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience

Strong working knowledge of Revit and BIM

Thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations

Experience within education, residential, social housing or healthcare projects

    Knowledge of NBS specifications

Previous responsibility for fee proposals and project financial management

Strong client-facing, networking and business development skills

Experience managing or mentoring architectural staff

Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance where required

    In Return

The Associate Architect will receive a salary in the region of £65,000 - £75,000, alongside 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, pension, professional membership support, health cash plan, flexible working, funded social events and continued professional development.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Architect seeking a senior position with a clear route towards greater responsibility and future leadership
