How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Quality & Training Manager

    £42,000 per annum | Full Time | Monday to Friday

    Workchain is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business, for an experienced Quality & Training Manager.     Salary & Working Hours

    Salary: £42,000 per annum

    Working Hours:

    *

    Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

    *

    Friday: 8:00am - 2:30pm

    About the Role

    As the Quality & Training Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing quality systems, employee training, and continuous improvement activities across workshop and dispatch operations. Working closely with Production, Quality, and SHEQ teams, you will ensure employees have the skills, knowledge, and resources required to maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

    This is a varied and hands-on role offering a balance of leadership, training delivery, quality assurance, problem solving, and operational support.

    Key Responsibilities

    Training & Development

    *

    Identify training requirements and skills gaps across workshop and dispatch teams.

    *

    Deliver training programmes to support employee development and operational performance.

    *

    Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    *

    Ensure training records are accurately maintained and appropriately documented.

    *

    Support workforce competency development and succession planning.

    *

    Communicate process updates and procedural changes throughout the business.

    Quality Management

    *

    Maintain and improve quality management processes and standards.

    *

    Investigate customer, supplier, and internal quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.

    *

    Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and track corrective actions through to completion.

    *

    Coordinate equipment calibration schedules and ensure compliance requirements are met.

    *

    Support internal audits and quality improvement initiatives.

    *

    Produce quality reports and performance metrics for management review.

    *

    Mentor and support quality personnel to encourage continuous development.

    Continuous Improvement

    *

    Work closely with production teams to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality performance.

    *

    Support improvement projects across manufacturing operations.

    *

    Contribute to process improvements and best-practice implementation.

    *

    Assist with technical problem-solving and production-related quality challenges.

    Production Support

    *

    Provide operational support during periods of increased demand.

    *

    Assist with production planning priorities and urgent customer requirements.

    *

    Ensure quality inspection priorities align with production schedules.

    *

    Promote high standards of workplace organisation and efficiency.

    What We're Looking For

    Essential Experience & Skills

    *

    Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment.

    *

    Strong understanding of quality management systems and quality assurance principles.

    *

    Experience delivering training and developing employee competencies.

    *

    Ability to investigate quality concerns and implement effective corrective actions.

    *

    Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.

    *

    Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.

    *

    Ability to build strong working relationships across multiple departments.
