How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is far more than a teaching role. It's a chance to be part of a specialist school where relationships are at the heart of everything we do, small class sizes enable truly individualised learning, and you have the time, support and flexibility to make a real difference.

Working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you'll create a calm, inclusive and nurturing environment where pupils feel safe to take risks, overcome challenges and develop a genuine love of learning. Every milestone matters, every success is celebrated, and every day brings new opportunities to inspire and empower young people.

Whether you're an experienced SEN Teacher or looking to bring your teaching expertise into specialist education, you'll join a welcoming and collaborative team that values innovation, professional growth and the life-changing impact great teachers can have. Here, you'll see the difference you make every single day.

    What You’ll Do

Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that inspire pupils and enable them to achieve meaningful progress.

Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs, supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally.

Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behaviour plans and personalised learning pathways.

Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, using assessment to inform future learning.

Promote positive behaviour through nurturing, relationship-based approaches that build confidence and resilience.

Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, therapists, families and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide consistent, holistic support.

Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where every pupil feels valued and able to succeed.

Champion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing, ensuring every child has the opportunity to flourish.

    What We're Looking For

    We're looking for someone who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Has experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH or complex needs.

Is creative, patient and adaptable, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships.

Is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential.

Thrives as part of a collaborative team and is keen to continue developing professionally.

    Full UK driving licence.
