About the role
Our client, a well-established property management business, is looking for an experienced facilities professional to join its Newcastle team on a part-time basis. Reporting to the Senior Regional Facilities Manager, you'll help keep a portfolio of managed properties running smoothly, safely and in line with compliance requirements.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid facilities background who wants to keep their skills in use without the demands of a full-time position. You'll bring practical, hands-on knowledge to a supportive team of facilities, surveying and accounts colleagues, and your experience will be genuinely valued. You'll get a good balance of office-based work and time on site, on a schedule that fits around life outside work.
What you'll be doing
* Supporting the day-to-day running of facilities operations across the region
* Carrying out building inspections and health and safety checks, and reporting issues to the Facilities Manager and Surveyor
* Logging inspections on the Risk Manager App
* Taking monthly utility meter readings where required and keeping records up to date
* Monitoring statutory compliance across the portfolio
* Acting as a point of contact for tenants and making sure issues are resolved promptly
* Liaising with contractors, suppliers and service providers
* Attending regular meetings with the Facilities Manager and Surveyor to review ongoing works and risk management
What we're looking for
* Proven experience in facilities management, property management or a similar role
* Sound knowledge of health and safety, risk identification and statutory compliance
* Confidence dealing with tenants, contractors and suppliers
* A professional, reliable approach and the ability to work independently
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (training on specialist systems is provided)
* Discretion when handling confidential information
Why apply?
* Part-time hours with flexibility, giving you a better work-life balance
* A competitive pro rata salary plus car allowance
* A role where your experience makes a real difference from day one
* Variety, with a mix of office work and site visits
* A friendly, supportive team and a well-established business
