How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a recent graduate considering a career in teaching?

    Tradewind Recruitment are working with a number of secondary schools across the Corby area who are looking to support ambitious graduates looking to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into teacher training.

    This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in education and would like to build their confidence, develop classroom skills and gain hands-on experience within a secondary school environment.

    The Role

    As part of the Graduate Teaching Programme, you will work closely with experienced teachers and school leaders, gaining first-hand experience of teaching and learning within a secondary school setting.

    Your responsibilities may include:

    Supporting students within lessons on a one-to-one and small-group basis

    Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities

    Delivering interventions to support student progress

    Supporting students with varying learning needs and abilities

    Helping to raise attainment, confidence and engagement

    Building positive relationships with students and staff

    Supporting behaviour management and classroom routines

    Gaining experience across different year groups and subject areas

    Developing an understanding of teaching, learning and assessment

    Contributing to the wider life of the school

    As your experience develops, you may also have opportunities to lead small group activities, deliver intervention sessions and gain additional classroom responsibilities.

    Graduates from all degree backgrounds are welcome to apply, although subjects such as English, Maths, Science, Psychology, Humanities, Languages, PE and Education are particularly desirable.

    Previous experience working with young people through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work, volunteering or support work would be beneficial but is not essential.
