How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Supply Chain Assistant

    Cannock
    £28,000–£30,000

    We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established business for a Supply Chain Assistant to join their team in Cannock.

    This is a varied administrative role supporting the day-to-day operation of the Supply Chain function, with a particular focus on inventory administration, purchasing support, SAP data and reporting.

    The role would suit someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and confident working with Excel and business systems.

    Working closely with the Supply Chain Manager, you will provide accurate and timely administrative support across a range of supply chain and inventory activities.

    Key responsibilities:

    * Supporting inventory administration, including order confirmations, purchase order updates and POD chasing

    * Maintaining accurate stock and item master data within SAP

    * Completing data entry and supporting regular reporting

    * Providing administrative support to the procurement function

    * Liaising with suppliers and supporting routine supplier communications

    * Assisting with purchase order and procurement-related administration

    * Supporting the wider Supply Chain team with day-to-day activities

    * Helping to identify and implement improvements to processes and ways of working

    * Taking responsibility for ad-hoc projects and tasks as required

    Key Skills and Experience:

    * Previous experience in an administrative, supply chain, purchasing, procurement or inventory environment

    * Strong organisational and communication skills

    * Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

    * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

    * Confidence using SAP or other business systems

    * The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

    * A proactive and collaborative approach to supporting colleagues and improving processes
