How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We are working with a well-established and highly respected engineering and infrastructure business operating across the UK's energy and utilities sector* to assist them in hiring a Framework Manager for their growing team in Aviemore.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Framework Manager with a strong electrical power background to take responsibility for the successful delivery of a major framework. You will oversee large-scale projects across the power distribution sector, working closely with customers, contractors, regulatory bodies and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, commercially and to programme.

As the Framework Manager your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    * Managing the delivery of electrical power distribution projects across the framework, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual requirements.
    * Developing and executing project lifecycle programmes, coordinating resources, activities and key project milestones.
    * Managing project budgets, forecasting costs and monitoring commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
    * Maintaining strong relationships with customers, contractors, regulatory bodies and other key stakeholders.
    * Ensuring projects comply with relevant health & safety legislation, including CDM regulations, as well as company and industry standards.
    * Managing contracts and supporting the successful delivery of large-scale engineering, construction and power distribution projects.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

    * Experience working on DNO/electricity projects, or strong technical expertise in HV/LV cable laying, switchgear installation, cable jointing and commissioning.
    * Proven experience managing electrical power distribution projects, particularly within the energy or utilities sector.
    * A proven track record of delivering large-scale projects within engineering, construction or power distribution environments.
    * Strong contract management experience, ideally with NEC3/4, alongside the ability to forecast and control project budgets.
    * Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, contractors, regulatory bodies and authorities at all levels.

    What's in it for you?

    * The opportunity to join an established and growing business operating within the UK energy and infrastructure sector.
    * A senior position with significant responsibility for the successful delivery and development of a major framework.
    * Competitive salary and benefits package, alongside long-term career development opportunities.
