Build trust. Help pupils participate. Give progress room to happen.
Revolve Collective is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants interested in Wolverhampton specialist settings, including provision supporting social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
You’ll work with teachers to help pupils access learning and develop confidence. Depending on the assignment, support could involve individual activities, small-group learning or helping pupils return to a task after a difficult moment.
Your response matters: clear instructions, consistent boundaries and the ability to recognise when a pupil needs a different approach.
Experience that counts here
*
Direct experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs.
*
Experience adapting instructions, activities or resources to individual needs.
*
Experience following agreed support strategies and sharing observations with colleagues.
*
An understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
*
Experience supporting SEMH needs or challenging behaviour would be particularly relevant.
You’ll encourage pupils to do more for themselves as their confidence grows, while working closely with the classroom team.
