How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Head of Quality, Quality Manager or senior Quality professional with a strong background in curriculum development and curriculum ownership?

This is an opportunity to take a senior leadership role within a quality-focused education and skills environment, combining curriculum leadership, quality assurance and people management.

The successful candidate will need more than quality expertise alone. You’ll bring strong experience of writing, developing and owning curriculum, alongside the leadership skills to manage and develop a team of Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs) effectively.

    About the Organisation

Our client operates within the education, skills and training sector, with a strong focus on quality, learner outcomes and effective delivery.

The organisation has an established quality function and a team of Internal Quality Assurers, creating an opportunity for an experienced quality leader to take ownership of quality standards while supporting the continued development of curriculum and people.

This is a role suited to someone who enjoys combining strategic quality leadership, curriculum development and hands-on people management.

    The Role

    * Take ownership of curriculum quality, development and continuous improvement.

    * Lead the design, writing and development of curriculum content to ensure it meets organisational and learner requirements.

    * Provide strategic oversight of curriculum development and quality.

    * Lead and manage a team of Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs).

    * Provide clear direction, support and performance management to the IQA team.

    * Ensure IQAs have the guidance, structure and accountability required to deliver consistently high-quality work.

    * Monitor quality performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

    * Work closely with curriculum and quality colleagues to maintain consistent standards.

    * Challenge and support teams constructively to drive continuous improvement.

    * Use your curriculum expertise to influence quality decisions and educational practice.

    * Maintain strong ownership of quality processes while ensuring curriculum remains relevant and effective.

    The Ideal Candidate

    * Strong experience in a Head of Quality, Quality Manager, Head of Curriculum, Curriculum Manager or senior quality leadership position.

    * Extensive experience of curriculum writing, curriculum development and curriculum ownership.

    * Proven ability to take strategic ownership of curriculum rather than simply overseeing its delivery.

    * Strong experience managing, supporting and developing teams, ideally including IQAs or quality professionals.

    * Confident people manager who can provide structure, direction, coaching and constructive challenge.

    * Strong understanding of quality assurance within an education, skills, training or learning environment.

    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    * Able to balance strategic curriculum leadership with detailed quality oversight.

    * Organised, analytical and confident making quality-focused decisions.

    * Passionate about maintaining high standards while supporting colleagues to develop and improve.

    Why Apply?

    * £50,000–£60,000 per annum.

    * Senior leadership opportunity combining curriculum ownership and quality assurance.

    * Significant influence over curriculum design, development and quality.

    * Opportunity to lead and develop an established team of IQAs.

    * Work in a role where both curriculum expertise and people leadership are central to success.
