How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Business Development Partner
Remote-based | Travel across Yorkshire and the Midlands | £50,000 to £60,000 per annum

One relationship can create the right referral. One referral can change someone’s life.
A growing adult social care provider is looking for an exceptional Business Development Partner to take ownership of occupancy, referrals and commissioner partnerships across its services.
This is a visible, hands-on role with genuine autonomy and accountability. You will need to understand the adult social care landscape, how placements happen and what it takes to move an appropriate referral through to a sustainable admission.
You will work across residential, nursing, complex care and supported living services, ensuring each placement is right for the individual and safe for the service.

    The role.
You will own the full admissions and occupancy journey:
    Vacancy ? Relationship ? Referral ? Assessment ? Costing ? Decision ? Admission.
    Key responsibilities include:
Taking ownership of group occupancy, vacancies and available capacity.
Building strong relationships with commissioners, brokerage teams, social workers, discharge teams, ICBs and other referral partners.
Generating appropriate referrals across residential, nursing, complex care and supported living services.
Maintaining a live and accurate referral, vacancy and admissions pipeline.
Understanding the capability, admission criteria and capacity of each service.
Working closely with operational teams to coordinate timely assessments.
Driving costings, funding proposals and placement decisions through to conclusion.
Identifying and removing barriers that delay suitable admissions.
Following up viable opportunities with pace, persistence and professional judgement.
Analysing lost referrals and identifying opportunities to improve conversion.
Building intelligence on local demand, commissioning priorities, competitor activity and gaps in provision.
Supporting the mobilisation, launch and occupancy growth of new and acquired services.
Providing clear weekly reporting on occupancy, vacancies, referrals, assessments, conversion rates and admissions.
Working with senior operational colleagues to ensure commercial objectives remain aligned with safe, high-quality care. What success looks like.
You will know where every vacancy is, what each service can safely support and which opportunities are active within the referral pipeline.
You will be able to identify what is delaying a decision, who needs to be involved and what action is required to progress an appropriate placement.
Success will be measured through sustainable occupancy, improved referral conversion, stronger commissioner relationships and admissions that are right for both the individual and the service.

    About you.
You may currently work in provider partnerships, referrals, commissioning, brokerage, business development or an operational role within adult social care.
More important than your job title is how you work.
    You will be:
Proactive, persistent and comfortable picking up the phone.
Credible with commissioners, social workers, operational leaders and frontline professionals.
Commercially aware and confident working to clear KPIs.
Highly organised, with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
Able to understand complex care needs and match individuals appropriately to services.
Confident analysing referral, occupancy and market data.
Skilled at building new relationships and maintaining existing partnerships.
Comfortable challenging delays and bringing the right people together to reach decisions.
Motivated by outcomes rather than activity.
Willing to travel regularly across Yorkshire, the Midlands and other locations as required. The important part.
This role is not about filling vacancies at any cost.
Every admission must be appropriate for the person, the service and the existing residents. The right environment, staffing, competencies and support must be in place before an admission is agreed.
Commercial success and high-quality care are not competing priorities. Sustainable occupancy comes from making the right match and building trusted relationships with the people responsible for referrals.

    What is on offer.
Salary of £50,000 to £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
Remote-based role with regular travel across Yorkshire and the Midlands.
Genuine autonomy and ownership of occupancy and referral performance.
The opportunity to make a direct difference to the lives of people requiring the right care and support.
A commercially important role within a growing adult social care provider.
