How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding and emergency response across the building, with a strong focus on electrical systems and equipment.
You will also support mechanical and general building services maintenance as required, ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the site’s critical infrastructure.

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician you'll:
    * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding and emergency procedures across the site, with an electrical bias.
    * Undertake electrical maintenance and repairs across LV systems, distribution boards, lighting, generators, UPS systems, switchgear and associated electrical equipment.
    * Support mechanical and general building services maintenance when required.
    * Carry out electrical diagnostic checks, identify faults and complete remedial works to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
    * Complete scheduled PPM and reactive works in line with SLAs, company engineering standards and Health & Safety requirements.
    * Deputise for and cover the Technical Services Supervisor when required.
    * Complete daily checks, statutory inspections, risk assessments and maintenance records accurately and on time.
    * Escort and supervise external contractors and specialist subcontractors while on site.
    * Liaise professionally with clients, attend site meetings and toolbox talks, and provide updates and reports on maintenance activities.
    * Use CAFM systems to update job records, PPM completion and asset information.
    * Participate in an on-call site cover rota (1 week on / 1 week off).
    * Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and emergencies, prioritising tasks effectively to maintain site operations and safety.
    * Ensure all maintenance activities are completed to a high standard and in line with relevant legislation and company procedures.

    * Strong hands-on experience with LV electrical systems, MCCs, switchboards, generators, lighting, busbars, inverters, distribution boards and UPS systems.
    * Broad understanding of mechanical and building services systems, with the ability to carry out basic fault finding and maintenance outside of your core electrical discipline.
    * Practical understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS).
    * Experience using CAFM systems and good IT literacy.
    * IOSH, CSCS Card and/or Safe Pass would be advantageous.
    * Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
    * Good written and verbal communication skills.
    * Able to work independently, take ownership and prioritise workload effectively.
    * Calm and professional under pressure, particularly when responding to reactive faults or emergencies.
