How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Reach & Respond Relief Responder

When registering to this job board you will be redirected to the online application form. Please ensure that this is completed in full in order that your application can be reviewed.

Do you want a role where every shift makes a genuine difference to someone's life?

As a relief responder within our Reach & Respond team, you'll provide emergency response and practical support to customers across our communities, helping them remain safe, secure and independent in their own homes. You'll attend emergency call-outs, assist customers following falls using specialist equipment, provide first aid where required, install and test telecare equipment, and ensure accurate records are maintained. This is a rewarding role that combines compassion, problem-solving and the opportunity to support people when they need it most.

We're looking for a caring, reliable and customer-focused individual who can remain calm under pressure and respond confidently in emergency situations. You'll have excellent communication and listening skills, a person-centred approach and the ability to work independently while being part of a wider team. An understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and supporting vulnerable customers is essential. You'll also need a full driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle insured for business use. Experience within a care, support or social care environment would be beneficial but is not essential.

Reach & Respond is Beyond Housing's technology-enabled care service, delivering emergency response, telecare and wellbeing support that helps customers live independently for longer. Our dedicated team provides a 24-hour service, responding to customer needs with professionalism, compassion and care. By joining the team, you'll become part of a supportive and collaborative service that is committed to improving lives every day.

Closing date for applications is Sunday 18 October 2026, applications will be reviewed throughout the duration of the advert and we may close it early should enough applications be received. We are not working with recruitment agencies on this vacancy
