How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Streetworks Coordinator

    Durham, Hybrid- regular travel across the region

    £28,000-£32,000 + Car Allowance + Fuel Card + Training & Development + Progression + Other Benefits

    This is an excellent opportunity for a Streetworks Coordinator to join a growing construction and civil engineering business, working on long-term infrastructure projects across the North East.     Are you from a Streetworks, Highways, Traffic Management or wider construction background and looking for a long-term opportunity with an established business?

    This established construction and civil engineering business has significant long-term frameworks secured and is continuing to expand across the region. You will work closely with a major utility client, contractors and internal teams, coordinating Streetwork's and highways activities across the North East.

    The ideal candidate will have relevant industry experience, with strong organisational and communication skills. You will be proactive, confident working independently and able to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

    The Role:

    Coordinating Streetworks, permits and Traffic Management requirements
    Liaising with clients, Local Authorities, contractors and internal teams
    Carrying out regular site visits across the North East, approximately 3-4 days per week
    Supporting compliance, quality and programme requirements across projects
    The Person:

    Experience in Streetworks, Highways, Traffic Management, Permitting or a related construction environment
    Strong communication and organisational skills
    Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
    Proactive team player with a can-do attitude
