How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Commercial Gas Engineer – Harrow

    Full-time, permanent

    Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience, plus OTE, company van and fuel card

    Are you an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer looking for your next opportunity? Join an expanding repairs and maintenance team delivering safe, reliable gas services across clients’ housing stock.

    We’re looking for a Commercial Gas Engineer who takes pride in their work, delivers high standards and provides excellent customer service.

    The role

    As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you’ll carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs, ensuring gas appliances and installations are safe for continued use. The role also includes **servicing and repairing Heat Interface Units (HIUs)**.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    - Carrying out commercial gas servicing, maintenance, and repairs.

    - Diagnosing faults and completing repairs safely and efficiently.

    - Servicing and repairing HIUs.

    - Completing gas work in line with current regulations and industry standards.

    - Maintaining accurate job records and relevant safety documentation.

    - Communicating professionally with residents, clients and colleagues.

    - Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer care.

    What you’ll need

    - Proven hands-on experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer.

    - Relevant City & Guilds qualifications, or equivalent, and appropriate ACS certification.

    - Valid commercial gas tickets.

    - A good understanding of current gas safety legislation, building control requirements and relevant industry standards.

    - Previous non-domestic experience, ideally within social housing.

    - A practical approach to fault-finding and the ability to work independently.

    - A full driving licence.
