How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Why you'll love this role:
Risk & Assurance Leadership – Lead the delivery of second-line assurance across Capital Delivery activities, ensuring key risks are identified and effectively managed.
Safety Culture Development – Champion a positive safety culture through visible leadership, proactive engagement and continuous improvement.
Strategic Risk Management – Work with senior leaders to identify, quantify and manage key operational and business risks.
SHES Advisory Support – Provide expert advice and guidance across Safety, Health, Environment and Security activities.
Assurance Planning & Delivery – Develop and deliver comprehensive assurance programmes aligned to Capital Delivery priorities and risk profiles.
Incident Investigation & Learning – Support investigations, identify root causes and drive the implementation of preventative actions and organisational learning.
Stakeholder Influence – Build strong relationships across Capital Delivery, Operations, SHES teams and external stakeholders to drive positive outcomes. What you'll bring:
Safety & Assurance Expertise – Strong experience within safety, assurance, compliance or risk management environments.
Leadership Experience – Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance and deliver strategic objectives.
Regulatory Knowledge – Strong understanding of CDM, RIDDOR, COSHH and wider health, safety and environmental legislation.
Risk Management Capability – Experience delivering assurance reviews, audits and risk-based improvement programmes.
Analytical Skills – Ability to interpret performance data, identify trends and develop recommendations that drive improvement.
Stakeholder Management – Experience influencing senior leaders, project teams and supply chain partners.
Continuous Improvement Mindset – Passion for improving processes, behaviours and organisational performance. Qualifications:

    Full UK driving licence
Recognised health and safety qualification at certificate, diploma or degree level (or equivalent experience)
ISO Lead Auditor qualification (or equivalent practical experience)

Apply now to lead assurance activities that strengthen safety, performance and compliance across Capital Delivery.

Interviews will be held shortly after the closing date.

Disclaimer: While the closing date is set as mentioned, we reserve the right to close the application process earlier if necessary, depending on the unique circumstances of each role.
