Senior Project Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of complex and high-profile projects, providing technical leadership and coordination across the project lifecycle. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required technical and quality standards.

Based from any of our UK offices (Birmingham, Manchester or Edinburgh)

This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role within PM Group’s UK operations, contributing to projects for major national and international clients while developing your technical and project leadership experience.

Responsibilities

* Provide technical leadership and engineering support across the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through to construction, commissioning and handover.

* Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities, ensuring designs and technical solutions meet project requirements, programme and budget.

* Develop and review engineering deliverables, specifications, calculations, drawings and technical documentation.

* Work closely with Project Managers, Clients, contractors and suppliers to manage interfaces, resolve technical issues and support project delivery.

* Identify and manage technical risks, design changes and engineering issues, while supporting procurement, construction, commissioning and validation activities.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline; Chartered Engineer status or working towards accreditation is desirable.

* Proven experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects within the Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical sector.

* Strong technical experience across project design and delivery, from concept through to construction, commissioning and handover.

* Experience within an EPCM or similar project delivery environment, with a good understanding of engineering management, project controls and relevant standards.

* Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide technical leadership, manage stakeholders and mentor less experienced engineers
