How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Teacher of Business Studies

    Location: Rugby
    Salary: £179 -£255 a day
    Contract Type: Maternity Cover
    Start Date: Immediate Start Available

    We are currently recruiting for a passionate and committed Teacher of Business Studies to join a well-established secondary school in Rugby. This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative educator to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, business leaders, and decision-makers.

    The successful candidate will teach Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5, delivering engaging lessons that develop students' understanding of business operations, enterprise, finance, and the wider economic environment.

    Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT), this role offers the chance to thrive within a supportive and progressive school setting.

    Key Responsibilities

    Deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons that engage, challenge, and motivate learners.
    Support students in developing commercial awareness and a strong understanding of contemporary business practices.
    Plan and prepare lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
    Monitor student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and intervention strategies.
    Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes achievement and participation.
    Contribute to curriculum planning and the continued development of departmental resources.
    Maintain high standards of behaviour, professionalism, and academic expectations.
    Prepare students for examinations and support them in achieving their academic goals.
    Take an active role in enrichment activities, enterprise projects, and wider school initiatives.
    Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders where appropriate.
    Participate fully in departmental meetings, training opportunities, and school events.
    Candidate Requirements
    To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
    A degree in Business Studies, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related subject area.
    Previous experience teaching Business Studies within a secondary school environment.
    The ability to teach GCSE Business Studies, with A-Level teaching experience being advantageous.
    Strong subject expertise and a genuine enthusiasm for business education.
    Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
    Experience using assessment data to track performance and improve outcomes.
    A commitment to raising standards and supporting student success.
    A collaborative approach to working within a department and wider school community.
    A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
