How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Build a strong understanding of customers' businesses, projects and future requirements.
Research the market and identify potential new customers and sectors.
Follow up on enquiries, quotations and new business opportunities.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure customers receive a high level of service.
Maintain accurate customer and prospect information using CRM and internal systems.
Attend exhibitions, trade shows, customer events and industry networking opportunities.
Support promotional campaigns and other business development initiatives.
Monitor competitor activity and provide feedback on market opportunities.
Work towards agreed business development and sales targets.
    About You

Previous experience within B2B sales, business development, account management or a similar commercial role.
A confident and proactive approach to generating new business.
Comfortable making outbound calls and developing new customer relationships.
    Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
Commercially minded with the ability to identify and convert sales opportunities.
Confident attending face-to-face customer meetings and presenting solutions.
Highly organised with the ability to manage your own diary and workload.
Self-motivated and driven to achieve targets.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Comfortable working independently whilst also contributing to a wider sales team.
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
    Benefits

    Up to £28,000 basic salary
25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
    Life insurance
    Healthcare package
    Excellent training and development opportunities
    Support towards additional professional qualifications
Ongoing career development and progression opportunities
    Desirable
