How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you an experienced Sales or Account Management professional looking for a new opportunity within a technical, equipment-based industry?

This is a customer-facing sales role with regular travel, client meetings and industry events. You will be responsible for growing revenue from both existing and new customers, whilst taking a consultative approach to understanding customer requirements and recommending the right products and services.

Please note: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as approximately 50% of the role will involve travelling to customer meetings, exhibitions and other events.

    The Role

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication and proactive account management.
Identify opportunities to increase sales of parts, servicing, maintenance and related products.
Proactively contact existing and prospective customers to generate new business opportunities.
Attend client meetings, customer visits, exhibitions, trade shows and industry events.
Work closely with internal service and technical teams to resolve customer queries and identify further sales opportunities.
Promote service agreements, maintenance plans, warranties, inspections and other aftermarket solutions.
Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and services based on their individual needs.
Analyse customer purchasing activity to identify opportunities for additional sales and increased account spend.
Research the market and identify opportunities to win new customers from competitors and new sectors.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information using CRM and internal systems.
Support customer events, product demonstrations, exhibitions and promotional activities.
Monitor customer requirements throughout the lifecycle of their equipment and proactively recommend relevant products and services.
Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure customers receive a high level of service.
Achieve agreed sales and customer acquisition targets.
    About You

At least 2 years' experience within a B2B or B2C sales, account management or business development role.
A proactive and commercially minded approach, with a genuine desire to generate sales.
Confident prospecting for new business and developing existing customer accounts.
    Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
Comfortable working towards sales targets and identifying opportunities to increase revenue.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Self-motivated, organised and able to manage your own workload.
Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and professional approach.
Comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider team.
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time for client meetings, exhibitions, events and customer visits.
    Desirable

Experience within the agricultural, machinery, engineering, plant or technical equipment sectors would be advantageous, although applications from candidates with a strong sales background in other industries will also be considered.
