How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    RENEWABLE ENERGY CUSTOMER SUPPORT ADMINISTRATOR | FULL TIME | BOLTON | £29,059.88 | 5 IN 7 ROTA | 7:00 – 20:00

    We are currently recruiting for a Renewable Energy Customer Support Administrator to join a growing and customer-focused renewable energy operation based in Bolton.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a friendly, organised and customer-focused individual to join a team supporting customers throughout their solar and battery installation journey.

    The role will involve managing your own portfolio of customers, acting as a key point of contact throughout the process and ensuring customers receive clear communication, accurate information and excellent support from their initial enquiry through to installation and beyond.

    The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and internal teams. You will be comfortable managing multiple cases at different stages and ensuring everything progresses smoothly and within agreed timescales.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage a portfolio of customers throughout their solar and battery journey.
    Act as a key point of contact, providing customers with regular updates and support.
    Speak with customers regarding their solar and battery proposals.
    Explain quotations, products, documentation and next steps clearly and professionally.
    Guide customers through the purchasing and installation process.
    Coordinate customer surveys, installations and key project milestones.
    Submit and manage Distribution Network Operator (DNO) applications and notifications.
    Ensure all required customer documentation is issued accurately and within agreed timescales.
    Maintain accurate customer records and ensure information is kept up to date.
    Respond to customer queries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
    Provide support to customers following installation.
    Manage customer cases through to a successful conclusion.
    Liaise closely with Surveyors, Qualified Supervisors and installation teams.
    Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure a smooth customer journey.
    Identify potential issues and take appropriate action to prevent delays.
    Ensure customers are kept informed throughout every stage of the process.
    Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service.

    Skills & Experience

    Ability to manage multiple customers and priorities effectively.
    Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    Ability to work independently and use initiative.
    Confident handling customer queries and resolving issues.

    Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
    Ability to work effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

    Confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office.
    Flexible approach to work and willingness to support wider operational requirements when required.

    Advantageous Experience

    Previous experience within renewable energy, solar, utilities or a similar industry.
    Experience working within a customer service or customer administration environment.
    Previous experience coordinating installations, surveys or appointments.
    Knowledge of solar PV and battery systems.
    Understanding of DNO applications and processes.
    Experience managing customer cases from initial enquiry through to completion.
    Previous experience working with contractors, engineers or installation teams.

    Benefits

    Salary of £29,059.88.
    Full-time position.
    5 in 7 working rota.
    Working hours between 7:00 and 20:00.
