How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Product Manager – Stormwater / Drainage
Bedford / Luton | Hybrid Working
    £50,000 DOE + £3,000 Bonus + Excellent Benefits
    You will like
Developing innovative stormwater management and sustainable drainage solutions for an established, market-leading manufacturer serving the construction, civil engineering and infrastructure sectors.
Based from the Bedford/Luton area with hybrid working, you’ll join a progressive international business committed to innovation, sustainability and responsible water management. You’ll enjoy genuine product ownership, excellent development opportunities and an attractive package including a 34.5-hour working week.
    You will like
The Product Manager / Technical Product Manager role itself, where you will take ownership of an established Storm Water Control (SWC) product portfolio.
Combining technical understanding with commercial insight, you’ll help define product strategy, drive product development and ensure solutions remain competitive, compliant and aligned with changing customer and market requirements.
Working cross-functionally with R&D, engineering, sales, marketing, production and customers, you will:
    * Drive development and optimisation of the existing stormwater product range
    * Manage product development and improvement projects through R&D
    * Analyse market trends, competitor activity, customer feedback and changing industry standards
    * Translate customer and market requirements into commercially viable product solutions
    * Manage products throughout their lifecycle, including development, optimisation and phase-out
    * Improve product performance, quality and cost-effectiveness
    * Provide technical product and installation support
    * Produce clear technical product specifications, literature and training information
    * Work with marketing to communicate product benefits and positioning
    * Engage with customers, specifiers and industry stakeholders to identify opportunities
    * Support product compliance with relevant environmental and regulatory requirements
    * Deliver product training to colleagues and other stakeholders
This is a genuine technical/commercial Product Manager opportunity rather than a purely marketing-led role, with significant scope to influence the future direction of the portfolio.
    You will have
To be successful as Product Manager / Technical Product Manager, you will ideally bring a combination of technical, commercial and project management capability.
Experience within stormwater, drainage, SuDS, water management or civil engineering would be particularly relevant, although candidates from associated building products, construction products or technical manufacturing/OEM environments are also encouraged. You will ideally demonstrate:
    * Product management and/or technical product development experience
    * Strong project management skills
    * Technical understanding of engineered products or systems
    * Commercial awareness and market analysis capability
    * Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into product solutions
    * Experience working effectively across multiple departments
    * Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills
    * An innovative, customer-focused and accountable approach
Direct stormwater sector experience is highly desirable rather than an absolute prerequisite.
    You will get
As Product Manager, you will enjoy a competitive package including:
    c. £50,000 salary DOE
Annual performance bonus – OTE £3,000
    Hybrid working – minimum 3 days office-based
    34.5-hour working week
25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, increasing to 28 days with service
6% employer pension contribution with salary exchange available
Life assurance from day one – 2x annual salary
    Private healthcare after three months
Employee Assistance Service for you and your household
    Christmas shutdown
Continuous professional development and career-growth opportunities
This is an excellent opportunity for a Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, Product Development Manager or technically/commercially minded water, drainage or civil engineering professional looking to develop their career within sustainable water management.
