Nursery Manager

We are recruiting for an experienced and accomplished Nursery Manager to lead a private Early Years nursery in Hammersmith and Fulham.This is a senior leadership opportunity for a confident Early Years professional who can take ownership of both the operational and educational running of the setting, whilst developing a strong team and maintaining consistently high standards.

The role offers a competitive salary of £46,000–£49,000, working 40 hours per week with one day off during the week. This would suit an established Nursery Manager with strong knowledge of the EYFS, Ofsted requirements, safeguarding and team development who is comfortable overseeing all aspects of a busy Early Years setting.

You will be:

Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day operational and educational running of the nursery

Managing staffing, deployment and ratios to ensure the nursery operates safely and effectively

Line managing, supporting and developing the Deputy Manager and wider nursery team

*

Overseeing curriculum delivery and leading the annual review of the nursery curriculum

*

Taking responsibility for DSL and SENCO duties within the setting

*

Maintaining continuous Ofsted readiness and confidently leading the nursery through inspections

*

Conducting staff supervisions, supporting performance management and identifying development opportunities

*

Building strong and professional relationships with parents and families

*

Supporting recruitment and contributing to the development and progression of the nursery team

*

Overseeing planning cycles and ensuring high-quality Early Years practice across the setting

Coordinating INSET days, trips, events and the wider nursery calendar

*

Working closely with the Deputy Manager to strengthen their leadership skills and support their continued professional development

The successful candidate will have substantial Early Years leadership and nursery management experience, with the ability to confidently oversee both operational priorities and educational standards. You will have a strong working knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, SEND and Ofsted requirements, alongside proven experience managing and developing staff.

You will be an organised and confident leader who can balance the demands of running a busy nursery whilst maintaining a strong focus on children's learning, development, safety and wellbeing.
