Project Quantity Surveyor

A London-based property and construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their cost management team. The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will work across a broad built-environment portfolio, with a particular focus on education and healthcare projects.

The Project Quantity Surveyor will manage commissions from early feasibility and cost planning through procurement, construction and final account. Working closely with clients, consultants and contractors, the Project Quantity Surveyor will provide clear commercial advice and maintain strong cost control throughout each stage of delivery.

This role would suit a Project Quantity Surveyor with UK consultancy experience who wants greater project ownership and exposure to technically varied schemes. The Project Quantity Surveyor will build strong client relationships, broaden their sector knowledge and continue progressing towards Senior Quantity Surveyor level.

Project Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities:

Preparing feasibility estimates, cost plans and project budgets

Managing tender documentation and procurement exercises

Reviewing contractor submissions and producing tender reports

Managing valuations, variations and change control

Preparing and agreeing final accounts

Providing commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle

Attending client, consultant and site meetings

Supporting delivery across education, healthcare and wider property projects

Project Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements:

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline

Previous UK consultancy / PQS experience

Strong knowledge of pre- and post-contract cost management

Experience within education, healthcare or similar public-facing building projects would be advantageous

Good understanding of JCT contracts and UK procurement routes

MRICS qualified or actively working towards chartership

Confident client-facing communication and reporting skills

Ability to manage projects with increasing independence

In Return:

£45,000 - £60,000 per annum
