Location: East London, Waltham Forest
Shift Pattern: 7:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 9:00pm / 7:00am – 9:00pm / 9:00pm – 7:00am
Pay Rate: £17 – £19 per hour
Nocturnal Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Care Assistants to work within a well-established Care Home in Waltham Forest, supporting elderly residents including individuals living with dementia and physical disabilities.
This role is ideal for compassionate and reliable carers who are passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and supporting residents with dignity and respect.
Role Responsibilities
• Providing personal care and day-to-day support to elderly residents
• Supporting individuals living with dementia and age-related conditions
• Assisting with mobility and transfers using hoists and moving & handling equipment
• Supporting residents with meals, hydration and daily routines
• Promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing at all times
• Completing care notes and reporting any concerns to senior staff
• Working as part of a professional care team
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years' recent experience working within a Care Home or similar setting
• NVQ 2+ in Health and Social Care
• Experience supporting elderly residents with dementia and physical disabilities
• Must be fully flexible to work early and late shifts
• Practical Manual Handling Training (or willingness to complete training)
• Confidence using hoists and moving & handling equipment
• Valid DBS within the last 12 months (preferably on the update service) or willingness to complete a new one
• A caring, reliable and professional approach
• Must be happy to provide personal care
